Bonfire Night

In Nursery we have been learning all about bonfire night. We made lots of different fireworks pictures. This is our beautiful splash painting. We had to use ne handed tools, experiment with colour and take turns. We all worked together to make this AMAZING painting. We also had a think about firework safety; we know only adults touch fireworks because they are very hot! Then we thought about all the people who can help us: fire fighters, police officers, doctors and nurses. Some of us know that if we need help and we don’t have an adult who can help with us we call 999. We hope you had a great firework night!!

In Nursery we learnt all about Diwali. It’s a special festival for some people it’s called the festival of light. We are very lucky Mrs Wadia came in to tell us the story of Rama and Sita, she wore a beautiful traditional dress called a Sari. After she told us the story she told us all about how she celebrates with Diwali with her family. In nursery we used lots of different coloured rice and sand to make rangoli patterns and we used clay to make diva lamps. We have been very busy bees!

For Remembrance Sunday we decorated biscuits to look like poppies. We know that the soldiers are people who helped us.
